Great saddle

Topeak Allay Sports Racing 1.1
I bought this saddle size M before we left for the Huadong tour, and D bought the Sports 1.1, also size M. After coming back from three days on the Southern Cross last November I had a slight numbness in my left thigh for several weeks despite having done every adjustment I could think of to saddle height, angle and level position as well as slight handle bar adjustments, so I decided it was the saddle itself that probably was a bit too narrow. Then I saw an ad for this saddle, and it looked really good, especially the space in the front which in fact has an inflatable/deflatable air cushion which looked really attractive to me. So at the Taipei bike exhibition last weekend, we looked up the Topeak booth, and they had these saddles mounted on test bikes. I had my butt measured by the staff and jumped on the bike. There was a marked difference. D preferred the Sports 1.1 which is a bit wider, but both were NT$2,500 at the Giant store (Giant is their Taiwan rep). After having done 270 km in two days, I now know that this was a right, even a great, choice -- it is a great saddle. After making adjustments to the saddle position, and then inflating the cushion slightly after first having deflated it altogether, I have no problems with numbness and no butt soreness at all, and neither does D.
